At AlloPsycho, while we don't offer traditional psychological therapy, we are proud to provide a tailored range of psychosocial services. Our mission is to deliver effective, accessible support to anyone looking to improve their mental well-being without the financial burden.

Psychological or psychotherapeutic care can only be provided by a licensed member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec. This type of support focuses on treating mental and emotional disorders through various therapeutic approaches, digging deep into the root causes of psychological and emotional distress. In contrast, psychosocial support focuses primarily on navigating the real-world impact and consequences of these challenges, emphasizing practical solutions and everyday coping strategies.

Absolutely. We understand how crucial a relationship of trust is between a client and their practitioner. If you feel that the professional assigned to you does not meet your expectations, you can discreetly request a change without any discomfort or awkwardness.

During your initial psychosocial assessment, the practitioner will gather information about your personal and social history, identify your needs and challenges, and look at the resources available to you. Together, you will define clear goals and build a personalized action plan, all while establishing a foundation of trust for an effective partnership.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The frequency of sessions is tailored to your individual needs and depends on your current situation, the concerns you’d like to address, and your available time and budget.

For some people, meeting weekly or every other week is most helpful at the beginning, while others prefer monthly or occasional sessions. During your first appointment, you and your therapist will discuss what feels right for you and decide on a schedule that best supports your goals and fits your lifestyle.

We understand that unexpected events can happen in your daily life. If you need to modify or cancel your appointment, we kindly ask that you inform us at least 72 hours in advance. This notice allows our professionals to reorganize their schedule and offer the time slot to someone on the waiting list.

In the event of a late cancellation, the following terms apply:

  • Between 24 and 72 hours in advance : A fee equivalent to 50% of the session will apply.

  • Less than 24 hours in advance (or in case of a no-show) : The full fee will be charged.

We thank you for your valuable cooperation and your respect for our practice.

No need to worry! If the connection cuts out, our priority is to help you complete your session. Here is how we proceed depending on the source of the problem:

  • If the issue is on our end : We will immediately offer to continue the consultation by phone or to reschedule it at another time free of charge, depending on your preference.

  • If the issue is on your end : We understand that technical difficulties can happen to anyone. That’s why we provide you with a free « joker » for the first time it happens. We can then complete the appointment by phone or reschedule it at no cost (one time only). However, if the situation happens again during future appointments and you are unable to continue by phone, the missed consultation will be billed at the full rate.
